| What a crazy day yesterday was! I had a fabulous time at Auckland Zinefest yesterday, sharing a stall with super-talented designer Kalee Jackson and stocking up on new goodies by Sarah Laing, Sophie Oiseau and others. The day also featured workshops, delicious vegan food and chats with all sorts of interesting people. We headed out to the after party at the Wine Cellar because we wanted to keep the good vibes going. And I was shocked to win Best of the Fest! I won for my zine 'Naughty Pussy: A collection of obscure Auckland Rock n Roll posters', which features posters I drew over several years for a variety of lo-fi rock n roll bands. The zine is available at Auckland Libraries and I'll get it into Wellington and Christchurch Libraries too - once I've printed another run! Thanks Auckland Zinefest for a truly wonderful day. |
